A maximum of 5 thousand participants can join the Messenger chat!
Currently only 250 members can be added to a general messenger group on Meta. However, users will soon get the chance to chat with up to 5,000 people at the same time through the community feature. News TechCrunch.
According to the news, the new feature will be very helpful if educational institutions and companies or neighbors want to talk about important issues. Neighbors can form groups and discuss various issues like local events, security measures. Again, teachers can create groups to discuss about students or add students to share various information about the class.
The Community’s feature has not yet been rolled out to everyone. The feature will be rolled out to all Messenger users in different countries gradually.
Meanwhile, Meta has asked users to take some precautions while using the community’s feature. It is especially advised not to send private messages.
